KSA aims to become leading renewable energy market

Saudi Arabia may be the biggest oil exporter but moves are afoot for it to also become the world’s foremost market for renewable energy, according to industry sources.

The Kingdom has earmarked $109 billion investment budget to achieve this goal, they said.

By 2032, Saudi Arabia hopes to generate as much as a third of its local energy demand by using renewable energy.
